Game Description:Sega Ages 2500 Series Vol. 3: Fantasy Zone is the third title in the initial trio of SEGA classic re-releases for the PlayStation 2. The "2500" in the title refers to the games' Japanese retail price of Yen 2,500.
Fantasy Zone, a System 16 arcade shooter from 1986, is best remembered for its colorful visuals, Latin soundtrack and freedom of movement through its levels, which differentiated it from other shooters. You are in control of a space ship equipped with a nose gun and a bomb weapon. Shoot down enemies and collect coins, which you can use to upgrade your ship. The game proved to be a killer app that got the System 16 arcade board into arcades. The PS2 version is an unchanged port of the arcade game.
