Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction
Game Description:The adventures of Sam Fisher continue in the fifth entry of the stealth-based series. In this game, all of the rules have changed, as the storyline takes a dramatic turn that will reinvent the Splinter Cell franchise forever. Fisher can no longer rely on his trusted bag of tools and iconic goggles. He's gone beyond being a double agent. Now he's a fully fledged fugitive without the intel of 3rd Echelon or the support of his friends. This time around, Fisher is going to need more than just a dark corner to survive... Experience original game play based on improvisation where your environment becomes your weapon. You need to react to changing situations and use the environment and the crowds around you to create diversions and deter your enemies.

  • Looking Back at 2010: The Year in Action Adventure Games

It’s been a great year for games and now, we’re going to look at a small slice of that awesomeness as we talk about the most notable Action Adventure games of 2010. Action and adventure are two things gamers crave. While most games have these two elements included in some way (well, at least, hopefully they do), there are some...

There was little doubt Ubisoft would be abandoning the Splinter Cell franchise anytime soon, but it's nice to hear some confirmation. Unless you've been living under a rock, then you probably know that Lost is finally wrapping up this Sunday after six long seasons of viewers trying to figure out what the hell is going on. In an onslaught of programming worthy of Oscar coverage, ABC is looking to maximize eyeballs (and ratings) by blasting you with five and a half hours of...

  • Splinter Cell: Conviction Deniable Ops DLC Detailed And Dated

Splinter Cell: Conviction’s Deniable Ops co-op mode is easily one of the game’s crown jewels. It’s no surprise then that Ubisoft has announced some new downloadable content specifically designed for its buddy-spy portion. The Deniable Ops Insurgency Pack introduces four new maps for agents Archer and Kestrel to clear out...

  • Splinter Cell: Conviction Leads April Sales, But Video Games Aren't Doing Very Well

Congrats, Ubisoft. Splinter Cell: Conviction was the top-selling game in April, with the Xbox 360 exclusive moving 486,100 copies during the month. The industry as a whole whole, however, didn't do so well, according to the hardware and software numbers for April 2010, released by the NPD Group. The full breakdown is below, complete with the...

  • Ubisoft: Splinter Cell: Conviction Co-Op DLC "Almost Done"

Ubisoft recently announced they intend to continue supporting Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Conviction by rolling out downloadable content on a weekly basis. And while the first few items have been rather “small” (new guns, a proximity mine, a new outfit, etc.), Ubisoft is hard at work on more substantial content as well. That...

  • Ubisoft Has Two New Tom Clancy Games Currently In Development

Ubisoft might have just recently shipped Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Conviction, and Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier is on the horizon, but that doesn’t mean the publisher is sitting on its Clancy-loving laurels. “At this moment I’m working on two Tom Clancy games which have just gone in...

  • Splinter Cell Marketing Ends With Police Presence

A New Zealand marketing company was reportedly sub-contracted to create some buzz around PC and 360 game Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Conviction* but apparently did their job a little too well. An actor showed up at an Auckland nightspot this weekend brandishing a gun, and patrons dove for cover. Someone shouted "he's got a gun," and...

  • Feedback -- Gears of War 3 and Splinter Cell: Conviction Edition

Epic Games' Cliff Bleszinski revealed Gears of War 3 the other night on the Jimmy Fallon Late Night Program, and it's got the Internet all in a flutter. Okay, maybe "revealed" is too strong a word for yet another emotionally-charged teaser trailer (great choice of music, though), but plenty of details emerged that are worth dissecting....

  • Splinter Cell: Conviction Developers Speak

G4 recently sent Andrew "Glitteratti" Pfister to the star-studded Splinter Cell: Conviction launch party. Although it was dripping with shiny celebrities, they were mere window-dressing for the real star of the evening: The game. Pfister chopped it up with Alex Parizeau, Maxime Beland, and Andreane Meunier to get an inside look at why...

  • Morning Hangover -- Are You A Splinter Cell Newbie?

I can't really explain why I've never played a Splinter Cell game. As a huge fan of Metal Gear Solid (at least the first and third installments), it would've made sense to check out the stealth game competition at some point, but it just never happened. Eventually, my lack of experience with the series acted as a deterrent for checking out the...

  • Sam Fisher Destroys The White House On April 13

In the trailer below, Sam Fisher is taking a little visit to Washington D.C. and destroying anyone who gets in his way. Even The White House has no defense that can stop him, because when you kill a father's only daughter you push that man to the edge of darkness. Wait, if Fisher destroys our central government, does that mean I don't have to do...

The prospect of stepping into elite spy, and justifiably pissed off rogue agent, Sam Fisher in Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Conviction has me visibly giddy (if you could see me, it would be embarrassing for both of us). That’s why I’m so happy to be able to share this X-Play All Access preview of Ubisoft’s upcoming...

Ubisoft has released the official playable demo for Sam Fisher's latest, Splinter Cell: Conviction. Fisher is an Xbox 360 and PC exclusive this time around and Ubisoft seems to have gone back to the drawing board for this one (which has been a long time coming). Whatever they're doing is working, since they're convincing people like me, who...
