Game Description:The first game in the Making History series, this educational title (released for sale to schools exclusively in its early days of release) brings the player closer to history more than any lecture or homework assignment can, as it literally put students in charge of France, England, Germany, Russia and Italy during the momentous decades of 1930 to 1950, the period before, during and after World War II. In teams and individually they make decisions of war and peace and everything in between. As a multiplayer simulation, Making History emphasizes teamwork and critical decision making. The software employs a sophisticated artificial intelligence engine and a deep database of historical facts to keep players grounded in the reality of the subject matter.
Making History was originally produced as an educational title in November of 2004. On September 20, 2005, the game was independently made available for general purchase. Publisher Strategy First and developer Muzzy Lane later signed an agreement for a 2007 full retail release of the much-improved 2.0 version, Making History: The Calm & The Storm.
