Silent Hill 2 Cheats

  • Obsidian Goblet

    Finish the game. Start a new game and enter the Historical Society building. The Obsidian Goblet can be found on a shelf.

  • Hyper Spray

    Finish the game two times. Start a new game to find the Hyper Spray on the south side of the motor home.

  • Book of Lost Memories

    Finish the game. Start a new game and look for the newspaper stand near the Texxon Gas Station. The Book of Lost Memories can be found inside.

  • Chain Saw

    Finish the game under the normal difficulty and normal riddle difficulty settings. Start a new game to find the Chain Saw among logs before the cemetery.

  • Book of the Crimson Ceremony

    This book can be found in the reading room on the second floor of the "Nightmare" hotel.

  • White Chrism

    Finish the game. Start a new game to find White Chrism vial in the kitchen of apartment 105 in Blue Creek Apartments.

  • UFO ending

    Finish the game once with the Leave ending (where James and Laura leave the town), then complete it again with the Rebirth ending (where James is going to revive Mary). Start the game again and a Blue Gem should appear in the bathroom where you start. Use the Blue Gem at the evil hospital garden, the dock (before you get on the boat), and room...

  • Additional riddle difficulty

    Finish the game under the easy, normal, and hard riddle difficulty settings. Select the hard riddle difficulty again and begin a new game with a new combination of riddles.

  • Dog Key

    Finish the game with the "Rebirth" ending. Start a new game and a dog house will now appear near Jack's Inn and the gas station. Look inside the dog house to find the Dog Key. It is used to open the observation room in the ''nightmare'' hotel.

  • Reveal signs

    Unlock all five endings, then start a new game. All signs will now be revealed.

  • Completion bonuses 1

    Finish the game. Start another game and enter the extra options menu to access new features.

  • Completion bonuses 4

    Another new option can be toggled, allowing scenes to be viewed without distortion.

  • The "Maria" ending

    To get the ending where James walks to Rosewater Park, and finds Maria staring out into the water. They greet each other, and James tells Maria that he likes her, and wants to be with her.

  • Ammunition

    Using your text editor alter the "options.ini" file in the game folder. Add the line below to the file if it does not exist, or edit the existing line to match: SET DX_CONFIG_BULLET 100 This sets the amount of ammunition you get when you pick it up. Usually, the game can set it to a maximum of x3.

  • The "Leave" ending

    To get the ending where James is kneeling down beside Mary's deathbed, and is explaining why he killed her. Then, the ending shows James and Laura leaving Silent Hill through the cemetery while Mary's voice is heard, reading her letter to James.

  • Completion bonuses 3

    A "Noise Effect" option can be toggled.

  • Hidden skulls in picture

    Go to room 307 in "Wood Side Apartments". On the third floor is a picture on the wall. Press Action and the message "There's a painting hanging on the wall. It looks like a landscape of this area." will appear. Look at the picture to see two skulls on the side of the mountains.

  • Introduction FMV sequence audio

    If you wait at the title screen for awhile, the introduction FMV sequence will begin. In some scenes, there will be no audio. Finish the game one time and the audio will be restored to those scenes.

  • Picture on floor

    After the Angela scene in the Blue Creek Apartment Building, and after you get the knife, there is a picture on the floor in the middle of the room.

  • Innocent Man riddle

    One of the rooms you will enter in the Labyrinth will include six men that have been hung by the ceiling. Your job is to free the innocent man in the group. In easy riddle mode, the innocent man will always be, "The Kidnapper". In normal riddle mode, the innocent man will always be, "The Arsonist". In hard riddle mode, the innocent man will...

  • Box combination

    When you get almost to the end of the hospital area and go down in the elevator, you will get a call on the radio. It is game show which will ask three questions. You must go to the third floor storeroom to get your prize. The combination to the box is 3 1 3. REMEMBER: This is for the easy and normal difficulty setting.

  • Completion bonuses 2

    A "Bullet Adjust" option can be set, allowing the normal amount of ammunition found at a location to be doubled or tripled.

  • Joke ending

    To view the sixth secret joke ending, use the Blue Gem at Alternate Brook Haven Hospital's garden, the dock before getting on the boat), and room 312 in the Lakeview Hotel. Once you use it in room 312, the game will end and the joke ending will appear.
