Game Description:You didn't think Mario would miss the big launch of Nintendo's DS handheld, did you? The N-64 classic has been rebuilt to take advantage of the DS' touch screen, dual screens, and wireless capabilities. You can now switch between Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, and Wario at will by tapping on the lower touch screen, and you'll need each one's abilities to retrieve all 150 Power Stars hidden through the game. If you can not see the image immediately, wait a few seconds and you should get a glimpse. This will happen more frequently on the harder levels.

    Caught with Mario. It is found on the staircase leading up to the Tick-Tock Clock course and the Rainbow Ride course.

  • Secret Area

    After you have three stars, one of the doors leads to a aquarium type room. Looking from the painting to the door, you should see to black boxes aroud the top of the frame. The black box on the left takes you to a secret area.

  • Ledge Grabbing

    When you grab a ledge quickly press B to get up or R to descend.

    Be Luigi and go into the mirror room and get a flower. Go into the mirror door and you will end up in a white room with a star.

  • Thinner lines 2

    To make your picture's lines thinner, press Down.

  • Wall Jumping

    Jump on a wall at a certain angle. Mario will slide down the wall. Press B to jump very high off of the wall.

  • Wario: Rabbits 7

    Two Keys are carried by orange rabbits in the room to Course 14.

  • Yoshi: Rabbits 5

    One Key is carried by a yellow rabbit to the left of the castle entrance in the tall hedges.

  • Yoshi: Rabbits 6

  • 3 hit combo

    Press A(3) while standing still to do two punches and a jump-kick.

  • Crawling

    Hold R and press in any direction to crawl. Crawling works best in small narrow spaces where it is easy to fall.

  • Dash

    Do not press any direction and hold Y. Mario will charge up and run in place. Then, hold any direction to dash off.

  • Double Jump

    This requires timing. When standing still, press B to jump. Just as you land, jump again. You should go higher. REMEMBER: It will not work a third time.

  • Ducking

    Press R to duck, crouch, or get down.

  • Flower 3

    Makes Luigi invincible to most things. He can go through screens and other objects.

  • Luigi: Rabbits 2

    One Key is carried by a yellow rabbit to the left of the castle entrance in the tall hedges.

  • Power Dunk

    When in mid-air at almost any time, press R. Mario will stop in mid-air for a full second, curl up, then descend at a good speed directly downward. This is useful for boxes that need smashing.

  • Princess' Secret Slide: Extra life

    If you get the first 1-Up mushroom, there is a second 1-Up behind the Star Box's platform.

  • Rabbit 6

    Caught with Wario. Found in the same place you found it with Wario. It is found in the hall of the Tiny-Huge Island Course.

  • Secret Star for the secret slide

    If you make under 20.99 seconds you get a special star.

  • Triple Jump Dive

    Perform the Triple Jump, then press A.

  • Wario: Rabbits 5

    One Key is carried by an orange rabbit in the room to Course 2.

  • Erasing

    To erase what you drew, press Left. To put it back, press Right.

  • How to beat the Goomboss

    As Yoshi, run around the arena as fast as possible and try to get behind the Goomboss. Swallow a Goomba that follows him. Wait for it to become an egg and throw it at him. Repeat this two more times.

  • Luigi: Rabbits 6

    One Key is carried by a green rabbit in the alcove above the door in the Castle Courtyard (Back Flip twice to reach it).

  • Run Jump Dive

    Start running, then press B. Mario will jump with medium acceleration. Then, press A and Mario will dive in mid- air. REMEMBER: This works best for gaps that you can get the triple jump to work. Then as you slide on your stomach, press B.

  • Stretch

    Press Left or Right to spin the image(s) to the left or right in a cyclone type pattern. If you press Down, the image stretches apart. If you press Up, the images will come together.

  • Switching

    You can switch the image in the background by clicking on the Yoshi square on the other side. This also applies by clicking on the Mario square for the other side.

  • Luigi: Rabbits 8

    One Key is carried by a green rabbit on top of the Castle. (REMEMBER: You must have all 150 Stars to reach the roof as Luigi unless you know the other way of getting up).

  • Moving Figures

    When you get to the main title you will see a character (yoshi or mario) moving. Tap on it. It will then draw over the character in pencil and turn it black and white. You can now draw figures and move them.

  • Rabbit 2

    Caught with Yoshi. It is found in the garden on the outside of the castle near the bushes.

  • Rabbit 5

    Caught with Luigi. Found in the Bob-Omb Battlefield hall.

  • Run Dive

    Start running then press A. Mario will do an instant dive, then slide on his stomach. While sliding it would be best to press B to hop quickly back on his feet.

  • Super Hop

    Long jump when needed to get to the other side of a gap. Run or jog, then hold R and jump.

  • Yoshi: Rabbits 3

    One Key is carried by a yellow rabbit to the right of the castle entrance in a flowerpatch.

  • Feather

    Jump three times to make Mario fly.

  • Flower 2

    Makes Yoshi's mouth full of flame and can breath fire. If you ever see fire, such as in the basement, you can eat it and can spit fire once.

  • Glowing rabbits

    There are seven glowing rabbits that randomly replace each of the character's mini-game rabbits. Once you catch all seven, you will receive a key that unlocks the white door to the right of Wario's. You will receive a Star. In order to find the glowing rabbits, you must first find all the regular rabbits for each character.

  • Luigi: Rabbits 1

    Seven Keys are carried by green rabbits in various places throughout the castle. These Rabbits will only appear when you play as Luigi. The rabbits will only appear after you have spoken to Toad in the Rec Room.

  • Running Slide Kick

    Start running, then hold R and press A while still moving to do a sliding kick towards an enemy

  • Save 15 seconds in Level 2

    In the first stage level 2, footrace with Koopa the Quick, you have to race koopa to the top of the mountain, when you get to the mountain it takes a while to get there, so when you start you see some barrels. look at where they are coming from, a hole, step in the hole you teleport to the top. they should save you about 15 seconds.

  • Super Backflip Somersault

    Hold R and make sure you are crouching, then jump. You can maneuver slightly while in the air.

  • teleport in world 4

    If you go down where the penguins mom is, there is a place with a bridge, a red coin, and a sign with an arrow. Go to the end of the bridge and stand there. (You have to be close to the edge) You will disappear and end up on top of the mountain

  • Tick Tock-Clock: Star

    As you enter the room with the Tick-Tock-Clock level, there is a Toad standing against the right brick column. Talk to him as Mario and he will give you a Star.

  • Tree Climbing

    When climbing on a tree, hold Y to accelerate up. When at the top of the tree, do not move then press Up. You will do a hand stand on top of the tree. Press B to go flying high into the air. REMEMBER: This is useful for places that you cannot reacy by foot.

  • Triple Jump

    You must be moving. Do the same thing as the Double Jump, but time it correctly one more time to do a super high jump.

  • Wario: Rabbits 1

    Seven Keys are carried by orange rabbits in various places throughout the castle. These Rabbits will only appear when you play as Wario.

  • Wario: Rabbits 2

    One Key is carried by an orange rabbit over the bridge to the right of the castle entrance.

  • Avoid death from high falls

    If you fall from a very high location, wait until you are just above the ground and press R. You will do a butt slam and will not get hurt.

  • Breakdance Sweep Kick

    Remain still, then hold R and press A. Mario will sweep his feet around, then get back in crouching position.

  • Flower 1

    Make mario inflate and float slowly; handles easier than the feather.

  • Flower 4

    Metal Wario; he is invincible and can stay underwater.

  • How to beat King Boo

    Get to King Boo by going through the Luigi picture in the Boo House. You can tell where he is when he disappears in the mirror by looking for his shadow on the floor.

  • Keeping picture still

    If your picture starts moving around strangely, press L or R to snap back in place.

  • Rabbit 1

    Caught with Luigi. It is found in the underground hallway near the Lethal Lava Land course.

  • Reviving

    If you accidentally press the pencil and want the same one back, just click the glove. Your picture is drawn back.

  • Run

    Press any direction then Y to accelerate. Hold Y to remain that way.

  • Wario: Rabbits 3

    One Key is carried by an orange rabbit in the Basement.

  • Wario: Rabbits 4

    One Key is carried by an orange rabbit in the Castle Courtyard.

  • Yoshi: Rabbits 1

    Seven Keys are carried by yellow rabbits in various places throughout the castle. These Rabbits will only appear when you play as Yoshi. The rabbits will only appear after you have spoken to Toad in the Rec Room.

  • Activate ? Blocks

    To activate the ? blocks and make them solid, here's what you do. Collect 14 stars, at least. 1. Then get mario (after you have unlocked him, and 2. then go main room (the place where you enter from coming outfront). The sun painting on the floor should have a light shining down. 3. Go inside the light, press x and point it towards the light....

  • Grabbing your drawing

    You can use the touchpad to play and animate the drawing.

  • How to beat Lethal Bombs

    To kill the Lethal Bombs, either jump at them or punch/kick them ahead of time.

  • Mario: Rabbits 7

    One Key is carried by a pink rabbit in the Mirror Room on the second floor.

  • Rabbit 7

    Caught with Mario. Found in the Jolly Roger Bay hall.

  • Thicker lines 1

    To make your picture's lines thicker, press Up.

  • Restore Health Instantly

    If you are in level with water you can jump in and dive down, then go back up to the surface to get air and your health will refill completely.
