Company Description: Rare is a British video game developer and publisher, formerly publishing as highly praised and widely successful company Ultimate Play the Game. Owned previously by Nintendo and currently a subsidiary of Microsoft Game Studios, the company has developed several games for both brands, including the most successful Donkey Kong Country series for Super Nintendo and the current Kinect Sports for Microsoft.
