Company Description: Day 1 Studios is a video game development studio with offices located in both Chicago, Illinois and Hunt Valley, Maryland. It was established in 2001 and initially led by Denny Thorley and TJ Wagner, former members of Fasa Interactive and Microsoft Game Studio respectively. The company's first game, MechAssault, was one of the first games to use Microsoft's online gaming service, Xbox Live, and Microsoft used the game to promote the service. Day 1 has also worked with Monolith Productions to release the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of F.E.A.R. Day 1 Studios employs more than 140 individuals.
