Company Description: Ascaron was originally founded as Ascon in 1991 in Gutersloh, Germany and has developed, produced, and distributed games for the German market. In 2001, Ascaron went into administration and struggled to keep ownership of their brands. Despite these troubles, Ascaron were able to open subsidiaries in 2002 in the UK and Aachen, Germany. In 2009 Ascaron went into administration again and were eventually taken over by Kalypso Media.
