Company Description: ArenaNet is a video game developer located in Bellvue, Washington. The company was founded in 2000 as Triforge, Inc, by Mike O'Brien, Patrick Wyatt and Jeff Strain, former Blizzard employees who were integral to the development of Blizzard titles StarCraft, Warcraft, Diablo, and Diablo II. They also helped create Blizzard's gaming network, Battle.net. Shortly after its foundation, Triforge changed its name to ArenaNet and was acquired by Korean video game publisher NCsoft. In 2008, NCsoft announced that its European and American subsidiaries would be operated by its new division, NC West. ArenaNet employs around 270 people and is known for developing the Guild Wars series of competitive online role-playing games.
