Company Description: ACQUIRE Corp is a Japanese video game developer best known for games in the Tenchu and Way of the Samurai series'. The company was founded in 1994 as an independent studio and had only 3 employees. Its first major success occurred when Takuma Endo, president of the corporation, sent his plans for Tenchu to a design contest held by Sony Music. Sony named him the winner of the competition and granted him funding to expand his studio and develop the game. ACQUIRE operates with two major divisions: the Development Group, which produces games alongside enterprise software, and the Production, Sales and Marketing group, which handles the publishing of Acquire's games.
