Pong
Game Description:In 1972, an aspiring entrepreneur named Nolan Bushnell played a game of electronic ping-pong on the Magnavox Odyssey at a demonstration. Soon after, Bushnell founded Atari, Inc. with the idea of creating a racing game, but Bushnell worried that his newest hire engineer Al Alcorn wouldn't be able to grasp the concept. Bushnell asked Alcorn to create a table tennis game to get his feet wet. PONG was the product. On a black and white display, two lines at opposite ends of the screen move up and down as they try to meet a square ball steadily bouncing back and forth across the screen. If a line misses the ball, the opponent gets a point. Score the most points to win.
