G4’S X-PLAY REVEALS “THE SCARIEST GAMES OF ALL TIME”
IN HALLOWEEN SPECIAL PAYING HOMAGE TO SAW TRILOGY

Mysterious Serial Killer “Memory Card” is on the Warpath,
Demanding That the X-PLAY Co-Hosts List Their Top 10 Scariest Video Games.
The Spine-Chilling, Hard Drive-Rattling Thriller Premieres Wednesday, October 25

Los Angeles – October 9, 2006 – Adam Sessler and Morgan Webb wake up in an unfamiliar room to flickering fluorescent lights—and discover that they’re chained to the wall with old-school Nintendo powergloves. On a black-and-white TV set left in the room, serial killer "Memory Card" threatens them with certain doom unless they can list the ten scariest video games of all time. Can Adam and Morgan come up with a list, escape, and reveal the killer's true identity before it's too late?  X-PLAY: THE SCARIEST GAMES OF ALL TIME will premiere Wednesday, October 25 at 3:00 PM ET/PT. (The special episode will repeat on Halloween, Tuesday, October 31 at 10:00 AM and 3:30 PM ET/PT and on Wednesday, November 1 at 4:00 AM ET/PT.)

In a bloody parody, sorry, homage to the “Saw” horror film trilogy, G4’s X-PLAY creates a mysterious madman every bit as diabolical as Jigsaw. The “Saw” films’ Jigsaw devises insanely ingenious mayhem that will befall his victims and their loved ones if they can’t free themselves in time—thereby teaching them the value of life. X-PLAY’s Memory Card threatens Webb and Sessler—and other G4 hosts—with dire consequences if they can’t come up with a list of the Top 10 scariest video games of all time.

Morgan and Adam will choose the “Scariest Game of All Time” from among the ten terrifying video games listed below (in no particular order):
• Fear
• Fatale Frame 2
• Resident Evil 4
• Silent Hill 2
• Eternal Darkness
• Undying
• Siren
• Clock Tower
• Alone in the Dark
• System Shock 2

Which game will be named “Scariest Game of All Time?”  Tune in to find out, if you dare!

As the X-PLAY co-hosts list their Top Ten—offering game play and reviews for good measure—they plot their escape and ultimately reveal the true identity of the killer. All the while, flashbacks show other G4 talent (including Zach Selwyn of ATTACK OF THE SHOW and Big C, host of STREET FURY) being offed in ingenious and gory ways.

In addition—as they struggle to free themselves from those damned Nintendo powergloves—Webb and Sessler offer previews of highly anticipated upcoming games such as Alan Wake and Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin.

“X-PLAY”—G4’s smart, funny, brutally honest look at the world of video games—is co-hosted by knowledgeable video game experts and passionate gamers Morgan Webb and Adam Sessler. Webb and Sessler have earned a reputation for delivering smart, entertaining and on-target reviews and commentary about the video game industry. In addition to co-hosting G4’s “X-PLAY,” Webb is the author of a monthly videogame column, “The Gaming Goddess,” for FHM magazine. Sessler has been a critic and a commentator on the videogame industry for almost a decade. He excels at making sense of videogame-related issues for the non-gaming public, and has shared his outspoken and articulate views on “The View,” Court TV’s “Hollywood Heat,” “World News Now,” and on several Los Angeles news and radio programs.
