BioWare: 'Dragon Age' Will Be On Consoles

Mass Effect and Star Wars: KOTOR creators BioWare said that their upcoming RPG, Dragon Age: Origins, will soon make its home console debut.

"Yes...Dragon Age: Origins will be coming to consoles in the near future, yes," said game director Dan Trudge (and he did say "yes" twice, so make that a double confirmation). According to Trudge's interview with EuroGamer, expect the console versions to appear late 2009, as "plans for consoles hasn't been finalized yet," as stated by a BioWare representative.

Dragon Age: Origins, published by Electronic Arts, is currently scheduled for a PC release sometime next year. Check out the vid after the cut.

I'm also hoping they make Mass Effect 2 soon. I know it's only been a year, but I feel like if they want to get all three parts out on 360 they should have been working on the whole trilogy as one giant game, getting it reasonably in the can, and then just release it in three installments, one every year, with the last one coming out in fall of 2009.

Instead it seems like they are doing a two-year cycle, which puts Mass Effect 3 in the fall of 2011.

This new game looks good but I would rather see them concentate on Mass Effect until the trilogy is done.

Seriously? It's been a year. That's it. They've got multiple teams at bioware, it's not like they cant work on more than one game at a time. And the ME team has been working on ME2 almost since ME came out.
