'Red Dead Revolver' Sequel?
Posted By: Mike D'Alonzo - Thursday, July 17, 2008 1:30 PM

There will be a sequel for Red Dead Revolver in the offing if the Take-Two Press Conference is any indication, where a short teaser trailer aired. For those of you not in the know, Red Dead Revolver was a Western game that involved a bounty hunter trying to get vengeance for the death of his family as a child.

Now, the original came out quite a while ago, and, since then, the Western genre has had titles like Gun and Call of Juarez to keep it afloat, but Red Dead Revolver was one of the originals in the space, and it will be amazing if they can make the game larger and more next-gen.

did anybody read the article in the link given? I would not trust a news site for games when they have such horrible spelling mistakes.

I liked it a lot gun was really cool also but the map was to small. Still I think RDR was better.

This is good news if it is true. RDR surprised me when by how good it actually was. Real funny and just fun to blow people away western setting.

The 2 player draw battles were annoying as hell. I always lost.

Red Dead is in my top 5 favorite games of all time. i've been waiting for the official announcement since rockstar released that teaser video for a bunch of different upcoming games. one of them had a western setting, no characters were shown but i really hope it's Red Dead 2.

The only game I ever played straight through and NEVER stopped. ;-) I could just not put it down. Looking forward to hearing more about this one.

On the subject of originality, let's not forget that Capcom originally developed the game and then later sold it to Take 2...

I always kind of thought maybe Capcom had been creating Red Dead Revolver as an update to the classic Gunsmoke series. There's a western game I'd play, for sure...
