Miyamoto: We're Making Pikmin
Posted By: Stephen Johnson - Wednesday, July 16, 2008 8:20 PM

At Nintendo's E3 08 Developers Conference this evening, Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto confirmed that Nintendo is working on a version of Pikmin, we take it for either the DS or the Wii.

Miyamoto, discussing Nintendo's relationship with "core" gamers said, "[Core] games could apply to games with better graphis or a more involved story, so if we forget those elements too, that would detract from our work, so we continue to investigate all types of games. When it's time to announce such a title, I'll announce it. We're making Pikmin."

We'll let you know more when we know more.

^A hardcore gamer is someone who is at least 30 years of age with no job, lives in their mother's basements with her 17 cats, and pays for sex if their lucky. Honestly ShaeSyco it's elementary.

What the hell is a hardcore gamer anyways?

Do they only play violent games? Because that seems to be the complaint Nintendo gets constantly.

@ ShaeSyco

Are you wacked? There's no reason not to show somethig decent at an E3 unless you have nothing. So they dropped the ball. Just admit it to yourself and move on.

There's no harm in not using your Wii system until they relase the games you want to play. And there's nothing wrong with saying they have nothing that hardcore gamers want.

It is what it is. Don't delude yourself. Just be honest and move on. when they do release a decent game you can turn the system on then.

lets be honest here.
Nintendo never shows its hand before all the chips have been played. They are not stupid.

@ DunjinMaster

Actually I think both those games are at E3. Just not in Nintendo's press confrence, which was really stupid for a company who needs to show off those games to hardcore gamers.

I'm not worried. Once Nintendo comes out with one of those games for the core gamer everybody will jump on the bandwagon.

There are some cool rated M title coming out for the Wii such as The Conduit and MadWorld. Their absence from E3 made me sad and it shows that Nintendo will not give them the marketing they need. Some stupid decisions by the Big N.

Wow, that sucks!
I've been a Nintendo loyal for the longest time, and I usually forgive them for any sin they commit. But this is getting pretty ridiculous. I don't know how much longer I am going to be able to take their dissing.

At this rate, I am going to run out of love for them.

Wii is a lot of fun, especially online. I do wish they would have announced more adult titles, but the ones they did announce (And third parties announced) will surely be fantastic.

Wow, they did a sh.tty job at E3, lacking AAA titles and they still managed to sell millions of Wiis. I can't help but say WHAT THE F.CK!???

OH BOY! Nice to see they really do care about core gamers!

Screw toy Nintendo, screw you and your music toys and fancy bathroom scales. Screw you.
