Nintendo Announces Wii MotionPlus
Posted By: Patrick Roche-Sowa - Monday, July 14, 2008 9:51 AM

Nintendo just announced their new motion-sensing peripheral, the Wii MotionPlus, as an addition to the Wiimote. As far as we can tell, the Wii MotionPlus is a small, white plastic box that snaps on to the bottom of the Wiimote where you would plug in the Nunchuck. Supposedly, the Wii MotionPlus will more accuratly reflection movements in a 3-D space, giving players a true 1:1 response between their Wiimote and the action on screen. Not much more information is available, but as soon as we get the details as to what makes this magic white plastic box so special, we'll let you know.

I think this would be good for such games as Red Steel (The popular game nobody played). I cant wait to see what else Nintendo is going to release!

Watch the above video to understand how accurate the Wiimote is currently (not very) and then see how much more accurate it could be. (Around 50s is where you should start paying attention)

This add-on could very possibly function like the add-on discussed in that video.

Seriously, take a look G4 Webmaster, at least you will be impressed.

Next Look at this Site for more cool things the Wiimote could do if Nintendo want to give us it's full potential.

Thank you for reading all the way through, and I hope you learned something of what the Wii could actualy do if it wasn't so limited by Nintendo.

@youenjoymyself

If you look on the bottom of the Motion plus you can see where the nunchuck would go.

you can just buy wii housings.... for your console and the Wiimotes, i have a transparent blue one on my Wiimote right now..... but aside from that, this is just another thing that im going to have to buy for my Wii, especially if it is for the Forced Unleashed

so i guess the Nunchuck cant be used with this because it plugs into its spot??
