So is this supposed to be a strategy game? I am a little bit confused.

It comes out fiscal 09, which starts early 08, because high and mighty businesspeople like to be elitist and complicated. Last I heard it was coming out March-ish. Supposedly they're going to release a creature editor demo, but also supposedly it's not until a few weeks before the game itself ships, so what's the point?

what they mean by the fiscal year of 2009, they mean January-may of 2008

Well, I honestly don't think they need to polish. The game's gotten cutesy and I don't think it needs to be for the gamers that I know that want to play it. Just slap a price sticker on it, enclose the security device, registration codes, instructions, warranties, and the game and put that thing on the shelves. No game can be perfect.

Too many games are rushed out onto the shelves to the criticism of buyers accussing game designers of scamming for money. For example, "Hospital Tycoon" which is a fairly descent game, even if it does get a bit old. That game was shipped out after only close to a year of development and ALOT of people were very hard on it. I like the fact that Will Wright is waiting until this one is finished. Of course, there doesn't seem to be any reason for spilling the beans nearly 2 years early, and there definitely will be less room for bugs in most people's eyes. If he let it out too early and it was bug-ridden, he would definitely lose some respect and that is becoming (AND SHOULD BECOME) great currency with the gaming public.

hey Spore fans....join TotalSpore, which is really the only current fanclub for Spore on the Internet. You can't afford not to, because there are so many showings of Spore and each one says different things, you need to talk it out with others to know what the game will REALLY be like. It's really fun too.
