Tony Hawk’s Project 8 has had a lot of care and effort put into bringing the franchise into the next gen. The series has needed a shot in the arm for a long time, and this might be what does it. Tony Hawk’s Downhill Jam (Wii) looks a lot like SSX with skateboards, which is not at all a bad thing. Could the Wii controller inject some new life into the tired extreme sports (or “action sports” if you must) world? Hopefully they remember that we’re here to SKATE. Not to ride Segways, drive golf carts, surf on electric eels, or any of that other silly crap.

I do not see how these games could be anything but volcanic. The graphics look so good that they make me want to wet myself and the gameplay looks even better.

When I saw the name of the title, I went "Ah man, not another TH game..." Why do they keep making Tony Hawks? We had enough. This should be the last one. The last TH game we had got also the same tricks as the previous games. This HAS to be the last TH in

I Have always loved tony hawks games but they all seem to be the same besides the story that the game has. Whatever, bring it on and I'll beat this one too.

Might be fun to try a skateboarding game on the Wii, but the game doesn't excite me at all.

You mean to say thay we'll actually have a Tony Hawk game with SKATING?!? No moronic Bam Margera antics? No god awful storyline? With skate comps and an actual challenge for seasoned Tony Hawk vets? Count me in!

Posted by advancedhalo - Thursday, May 11, 2006 3:30 PM

I do not see how these games could be warm. The graphics look so good that they make me wet myself and the gameplay looks even better.
