Superhero Stamps Released By USPS; Debuted at Comic-Con
Faster than a speeding bullet, comic book superheroes are coming to a post office near you. Batman and Superman, Wonder Woman, Supergirl and a half dozen other superheroes will star on new postage stamps being released today. The new 39-cent stamps and 24-cent postal cards will be made public at Comic-Con, and will go on sale nationwide Friday

Hasbro and Marvel Continue Toy Generation At Comic-Con
At San Diego Comic-Con, Hasbro has their first wave of Marvel Legends on display, and fans can get a close-up look at some of the most anticipated toys of 2007. Also on display: Hasbro’s wave of Legends-compatible Ghost Rider movie figures and Spider-Man: Origins, an expansive Spidey comic line that leads up to next year’s movie figures. Hasbro had the first two waves of Spider Man: Origins Signature Series on display, featuring cloth-costumed Mego-esque heroes and villains.

Comic-Con Announcements From Marvel Comics
The two biggest announcements of the Marvel panel at Comic-Con were the introduction of a new series to be written by Brian Michael Bendis and drawn by Frank Cho titled The Mighty Avengers, and the official acknowledgment from Marvel that Jeph Loeb and Simon Bianchi will be taking over Wolverine with issue #50.

Perez Interested in Drawing Legion of Superheroes Series
Though George Perez confirmed that there's currently no action going on with him and Teen Titans, “I do need to rectify a sin in my career,” said Pérez. “I’ve never drawn a Legion of Superheroes series.” Look for that in the near future.

Doug Jones to Play Silver Surfer?
Actor Doug Jones, who played Abe Sapien in “Hellboy,” didn’t confirm that he’d be playing the Silver Surfer in the “Fantastic Four” sequel next summer… but he came pretty close on Thursday at the San Diego Comic-Con.
