We get a special look at ArenaNet's new MMORPG during the Comic-Con 2011 Guild Wars 2 panel. The panel, called Rethinking the Online RPG: How Guild Wars 2 Explores New Dimensions in Social Gaming, will include a panel of developers and artists who work on Guild Wars 2.


During the panel, the developers and artists will help fans get a deeper understanding of Guild Wars 2.They will take a look at how Guild Wars 2 is re-thinking MMO conventions and answer your questions.

The video also shows off the wide range of creatures/species in the game. Rock people, rat people, bull people, scorpion things, huge black dragons that almost look metal. The dragon is filled with purple lightening. Forgive me for not knowing the actual names.

The armor system has been reorganized in to light, medium and heavy. You can mix and match within your weight class. Three layers of dyeing for armor, if needed. Customization was important to the designers.

A: They are plant race, very in touch with nature and they are a young race. Reading the description alone, people wanted two different things. Some saw elves, where others saw a tree people. I think I managed to do that. They're elegant, they can contribute to the battle and they are unique "for those who wanted elves and those who wanted ents, I hope will both be happy." Savari will be playable at GamesCom and PAX.

A: Dynamic event chains are just that, chains. They will stay there until players interact. The problem will exist until someone fixes it. If centaurs take over a town players can save them, if they don't, centaurs will take over the town until gamers step up and take the town back.
