Trying to fell a giant is one heck of a challenge--which is why you need CHEAT! on your side. Colossus Loc. Strategy
Minotaur A F5 Grab onto his left leg and stab it. He’ll kneel down letting you climb onto his back. His weak spot is on top of his head.
Mammoth F3 Stand in front of the Colossus and he’ll raise his two front legs. Shoot an arrow in either hoof and he’ll bend down. Go to the leg you’ve just shot and climb on the hairy part of it. His first weak spots are his head and tail.
Knight E2 Stand on top of the circle platform and have the Colossus hit his arm on top of it. Pieces of his armor will break off, letting you climb up. Then, move onto the ground area, so when the Colossus tries to hit you, his arm will temporarily get stuck in the soft ground. Climb up his arm; his weak spots are his head and stomach.
Bird H4 There are two different strategies to climb up this Colossus. The first way is to go underground in any one of the bunkers and wait for it to peek his head into the opening. When he does, jump onto the hanging ornaments on the sides of his head.

Another way to get on top of the Colossus is enter one bunker and exit out another. You’ll have to time this just right and have the back of the Colossus facing you, as you jump off the top of the bunker and onto his back.

Once you get on, stab the back of the neck and he’ll lean forward letting you target his head for the final blow. If you don’t hit the back of the neck before going for the head, he’ll move around a lot more than usual.

Kirin G5 Swim to the floating platforms closest to the Colossus and hit him with your arrow to get him in the air. Wait for him to dive low and jump onto the hairy parts of the wing. His weak spots are his tail and both wing tips.
Minotaur B D6 When the Colossus appears run towards the front area of the arena, there’ll be a place to hide at the end. Stay hidden and the Colossus will eventually bend down looking for you. Grab his beard and climb to the top. His weak spots are his head and lower back.
Eel D1 You’ll have to position yourself so when the Colossus comes up to the top of the water, you’ll be able to grab onto the hairy part of his tail. Whenever he comes up for air, move towards the front. His weak spots are the three electric spikes sticking out of his torso.
Yamori G6 Get the Colossus’s attention by shooting it with an arrow on the level with the large openings. Make sure you stay out of range of its gas attack or you’ll health will deplete very quickly. Target the white spots on his legs with your arrows as he climbs the sides of the wall. When he falls, jump down and target his weak spot, his stomach.
Tortoise D3 Lure the Colossus under any one of the geysers in the area. He may or may not tip over depending on his position. If he doesn’t tip over, hit the insides of his hoof with an arrow while he’s been suspended by the water and he’ll tip over. Climb up his leg and he’ll eventually straighten up, letting you walk on his back. His weak spot is his head.
Narga B4 Get the Colossus to chase you around and target his eyes with your Bow and Arrow. Once you hit one, he’ll be blinded for a moment running into the walls of the cavern. His weak spot is on his back.
Leo F1

When you first enter this area, climb on the first burning furnace to the left when facing the Colossus. When he tries to knock you off a piece of wood will fly off. Grab the stick and light it on fire and use it to force the Colossus back to the open ledge.

Jump down when he falls, but don’t try to get on top of him just yet. Instead, run off to an area where he can’t follow you and eventually he’ll go back to the top of the temple. Make your way to the top also and climb on top of any of the burning furnaces and jump on the back of the Colossus right before he bangs his head on it. His weak spot is on his back.

Poseidon G2 Swim under water and head for the back of the Colossus. Climb up his tail and go for his head, and hit the top of his head with your sword to control the direction of the Colossus and position him next to any one of the temples. Jump on top of the temples and use the top of the building to protect you from his energy blast. Once he stands up, he’ll expose his weak spot, his stomach.
Snake E6 Hit all three air sacks and jump onto his fin when he floats near the bottom of the desert. Ride towards it at it an angle, to easily grab on to it. His weak spots are under each fin, which are directly over the three air sacks.
Cerrebus C2 You’ll have to run on top of a bunch of fallen pillars to get the final area. Once you’re there make your way to the top of the platform that looks all broken up. Make the Colossus hit the columns and it’ll fall on top of him, exposing the weak spot on his back. To get on his back, jump on one of the fallen pillars and time your jump as he tries to ram you.
Minotaur C G1 Head towards one of the platforms that move up and down when the Colossus stamps his foot on top of it. Use that to climb to the very top of the arena and head for the bridge. Jump and climb onto the Colossus; his weak spots are his right elbow and right palm.
Evis F8 Use the tunnels to the right of the area to get to the Final Colossus. Once you’re there climb to the top and target his back.

Grab his hand when it comes down to swat you away and then stab it when you get to the top to steady it.

Climb his shoulder and stab that to make his other hand come towards you. Jump to the other hand and stab that to steady it once again. Shoot an arrow at the other shoulder and climb to the top. His weak spot is his head.


Easter Egg

Horse "Face Paint" Copy a save from the game Ico onto The Shadow of the Colossus memory card and your horse will now have the letter “I” on his fore head that looks like the font from the Ico game.
