In the final boss fight, your actions are as follows:

The final bosses weaknesses are the large cutting attacks activated by your TRIGGERs. Just get in

close to him and keep cutting him unitl he dies and be sure not to get caught in his purple laser

attack. Don't bother using the pulse lasers since they don't do anything to the boss except to destroy the missiles fired at Wayne.

Personally I think the best cutting attack to use is the

sideways cut as you rarely miss him. The vertical cut can miss if the boss moves sideways.

Beat hard mode.

So you wanna reach L50 on ranked matches and get that achievement out of the way? Set up a private invite with a friend and make a ranked team elimination or elimination match game.

Meet up in the specified session and start the match with two people. Now go around the level takeing over data pods without killing each other. Shuttling back and forth stealing data pods gives you points (since having them taken from you doesn't cost you anything, unlike dying).

If you do this at level 1, you're likely to gain around 15 levels in a game set for 10,000 points.

Attain L30 on Xbox Live for your first secret character. Reach L45 on Xbox Live for another secret character.

Finish the game on either Easy, Normal, or Hard.

On your second time through the canyons (Mission 9), you can bypass much of the firefight in a quick and effective manner by going off the beaten path. When you start the level, you are standing on a road, hidden from Snow Pirates behind some crates. The road is high above the canyons.

Rather than fight your way down the road and through the canyons where there are many Pirates and VS ready to kill you, simply turn right at the very beginning of the mission and jump off the side of the road. Stay as far to the right as you can, hugging the mountains as you traverse the canyon all the way to the building with missle launchers.

Use your grappling hook to ascend to the top level of the building, always keeping as far to the right as possible to avoid detection. Once you're on the top level of the building, overlooking the canyons from the opposite side from the road you started on, sneak up behind the missle launchers and shoot the men operating the launchers.

Now you can assume control of the missle launchers and unleash hell on the VS and human foes below. You'll have plenty of missles at your disposal to entirely wipe out the forces below. Anyone who survives can be easily mopped up in close combat.

This is a nifty trick to execute when fighting an Akrid. Try to step close to an edge into an abyss and fall off. Quickly catch yourself - the Akrid will follow you over the side and not be able to catch itself, falling into the abyss below.
