<kpereira> I could care less. I honestly miss the dot-com stuff from time to time, but hosting is a ton of fun. So I'm perfectly happy at the moment, and not stressing the next move(s).

<kpereira> We need to have an open world, cops/robbers, persistant environment type MMO.
<kpereira> It's entirely possible, and I'm sure someone's working on it -- but I haven't heard anything...

<kpereira> I'm hooked on E4: Every Extend Extra Extreme!
<kpereira> It's one of the best music games I've played in a long time. Q? entertainment is brilliant.
<kpereira> And you can play it completely trashed and still feel like you're actually doing well/accomplishing something.
<kpereira> I highly recommend it.
<kpereira> That, and now I'll be rocking CoD4.

<kpereira> I haven't even touched GH3 to be honest. I played a song or two at E3 -- but nothing since it finally came out.
<kpereira> I actually lost interest around GH2, the set-list just didn't interest me in the slightest.
<kpereira> I'm all about Rock Band at the moment; despite the fact that I apparently shattered the drum pedal during Don't Fear the Reaper today.
<kpereira> I'm sure a little duct-tape will fix it right up.

<kpereira> Technologically speaking, the PS3 will age more gracefully, but the 360 will certainly not go the way of the Dreamcast. Nor will the Wii, so long as they keep the software coming.

<kpereira> Kitashi: My nickname used to be "Immortal" (think 1988 or so) when it was cool to alt-caps and be "iMMoRTaL" -- that became Immy for short.

<kpereira> Wazooo: Long story short -- Had a personal website back in the day (PointlessAudio.com) which became LickMySweaty.com (a site about games/tech/hacking/etc). Some people were fans, years later they started G4 and asked me to move to LA to get balance bars and coffee. That brings us to now, sorta.

<kpereira> I actually just got off the phone with Tina Wood not to long ago.
<kpereira> I miss her like mad. She just had a beautiful baby girl...
<kpereira> I also chat with Sarah Lane and some of the old Screen Savers crew (most of 'em up in SF at Rev3).
<kpereira> I miss that girl something fierce. She was so much fun to work with, let alone hang out with outside of the studio.
<G4|Jay> Did you get a chance to play Assassin's Creed while it was on the set or at any other time? Maybe sneak a copy down your pants for the rest of us?
<kpereira> G4|Jay: I didn't. I got a rundown of the controls which seem super intuitive, and I'm more excited to play it than ever before.
<kpereira> but those who HAVE played it around these parts maintain it's absolutely AMAZING.
<TimJohnson> my question is, With COD 4 in the spotlight, do you think we will see a drop off of the 40 or so WW2 fps's released every year and a heavier focus on "Modern combat" And do you think if this happens it will bring anything fresh to the genre aside from a location other than Nazi Germany?
<kpereira> God I hope so. I'm so sick and tired of WWII shooters. Enough. Now we're heading into modern/present day shooters... and there will be 4,000,000 of those too.
<kpereira> I'm sure EA will churn out 70% of those alone.
<kpereira> It's time to stop kicking the WWII horse. I hope CoD4 does that.

<kpereira> djsonik: I hated Arena. Wouldn't go back to that for the life of me. I miss TSS as a show (I was a huge fan back in the TTV days) -- but TSS and AOTS are two completely different beasts.
<kpereira> The biggest mistake/hurdle was trying to transition that show into AOTS -- it just couldn't work. Two different shows entirely. But now, I think it's clear that they're different entities, and certain chapters are over.
<kpereira> In hindsite, a lot of trouble could have been avoided had the show gone dark for a while and relaunched without trying to cater to both audiences. But, win some lose some... it is what it is. And I'm happy with the show we've got now.
