The Last Stand Trailer: Arnold Is Back

The Last Stand, Arnold Schwarzenegger's first starring role in nearly a decade has released its first trailer.

While at the moment, theaters are dealing with the crisis related to an explosion of testicular-dropping drama that is The Expendables 2, Arnold's return to the big screen will hardly stop there. An array of new films, beginning with this one are on tap for 2013.

Now, witness as The Governator puts away the politics in favor of punches, while murdering bad guys with all the horrible puns you can handle.

Schwarzenegger plays a former LAPD narcotics officer who looks for peace as a sheriff in a small town on the Mexican border. Unfortunately, it looks like that peace got scared away when the leader of a Mexican drug cartel escapes from FBI custody and makes the mistake of starting trouble with the wrong Austrian-accented sheriff.

With fresh direction from up-and-coming Korean helmer, Jee-woon Kim, and co-stars like Forest Whitaker, Johnny Knoxville, and Thor's Jaimie Alexander, this looks to be a solid comeback.

The Last Stand hits theaters like a minigun out the back of a school bus on January 18, 2013.
