A set of two variant teaser trailer for Superman's upcoming return to the big screen, Man of Steel have hit.
While not quite as scene-revealing as the footage shown at Comic-Con, these trailer are able to hauntingly convey the essence of the film's focus: That Clark Kent/Kal-El fell to Earth and has since been chased by a destiny; one that he has seemingly tried to avoid up until this point by wandering, taking odd jobs, and doing his best impression of Bruce Banner, hitchhiking (for some reason) on remote roads.
Check out both trailer variants below to see "Deadliest Catch Superman" in action!
This version of the Last Son of Krypton played by Henry Cavill is not the Boy Scout Superman of Christopher Reeve or the lovesick, friend-zoned Superman of Brandon Routh. He's clearly an edgier Superman who hasn't quite figured out his path.
The two variants of this trailer featuring voiceovers from Kevin Costner as Pa Kent and Russell Crowe as Jor-El illustrate in different ways that this lost-in-life Clark Kent will eventually find his way to something that, whether for good or evil, will lead to greatness.
Man of Steel swoops into theaters fast enough to make you forget about Kryptonite Island on June 14, 2013.
