The first trailer for The Wizard of Oz prequel, Oz: The Great and Powerful has hit.
Rather than a fourth go with Marvel's Wall-Crawler, director, Sam Raimi reunites with his Harry Osborn, James Franco, as they pay attention to the "man behind the curtain" in this epic tale of how a shady, small-time magician named Oscar Diggs becomes the wonderful Wizard who eventually tells Dorothy the shockingly-easy way to get back home to Kansas.
With co-stars, Mila Kunis, Rachel Weisz, and Michelle Williams, James Franco notches yet another prequel on his belt after recently helping the Planet of the Apes "rise."
For Sam Raimi, it's an ultra-ambitious step into new, non-Spider, non-Deadite territory that appears to be awe-inspiring.
Check out the trailer below and prepare to ward-off flying monkeys when Oz: The Great and Powerful hits theaters on March 8, 2013.
