If you've already had your fill of the hype from the upcoming release of The Avengers, then you're likely to upchuck (in a good way) from the new TV spots from the comic book team-up film for which fans have been long waiting.
While we've already had a number of trailers and even a full clip that just hit, these spots continue to trickle bits of new footage that remind us why this once-surreal project is something worth going fanboyish over.
Check them out below and bask in their explosive glory!
Everyone knows there's no "i" in team, but there isn't one in "The Avengers," either. This spot, called "Team" appropriately focuses on the super-team's collective cohesiveness against the still unnamed threat that's raining fiery chaos on Earth and directly on Stark headquarters.
Perhaps the more compelling spot, this one, called "Headcount" gives you some nice trash-talking between Loki and Nick Fury, as well as with Tony Stark. (The latter confrontation, as we saw in previous trailers, apparently leads to Loki tossing Stark out a window.)
However, we also get our first closer look at Loki's "army," which have long been speculated to be Marvel's shapeshifting aliens, the Skrulls. Given what we're seeing, there's still nothing by which to peg them, but that theory still appears to be in the ballpark.
The only thing we know for certain, is that Hulk is going to squash a good number of these guys like lovebugs on the bumper of a pickup truck.
The Avengers assembles in theaters on May 4. (One month from today!)
