The trailer for Total Recall is here!
While April Fool's Day may have been the Internet's platform for lots of trolling, it would also see the (very real) debut of the action/sci-fi remake's first full preview.
Expanding on what we saw in last week's teaser footage, this trailer drives home the point that, while we won't be going back to the Red Planet, there's plenty of futuristic action to be had on Earth with flying cars, the trashing of hapless guards, and perhaps best of all, Kate Beckinsale and Jessica Biel beating the crap out of each other.

Visual elements from the 1990 Schwarzenegger epic, most notably the memory implant machine, seem to be flashing out to you, almost as if to say, "yes, this IS Total Recall, so chill out about the Mars thing."
Director, Len Wiseman has amped-up the intensity, making Colin Farrell's Douglas Quaid into a formerly a normal guy that was programmed as a Jason Bourne-like killing machine now acting in spite of himself. However, the framework from Paul Verhoeven's crowd-pleasing classic of a man on the run who is unsure of his reality remains ever present.
Also, a noteworthy revelation, is the apparent reworking of the famous scene in the spaceport when Schwarzenegger's Quaid was disguised as a middle-aged woman, which now seems to be replaced with Farrell's Quaid using holographic technology. (Will we still need to "get ready for a surprise?")
Total Recall will hit theaters like an exploding head on August 3.
