The Hobbit director, Peter Jackson continues to update fans on the status of the two-part epic with the sixth production video diary.
This time, as they begin shooting for the second film, the operation moves to stunning and majestic New Zealand mountains and waterfalls, as scenes that will ring quite familiar to fans who read the book come to life in spectacular fashion.
The real story, however, is the massive scale of the production itself and everything that's involved with the crew to physically move it from one place to another. Just about everything that civilization requires like food, shelter, and Internet are impressively hauled repeatedly to some of the most remote places conceivable.
