It appears that the revealing Pez dispenser we saw of The Amazing Spider-Man's villain, The Lizard was indeed the genuine article. Now, a full picture of new Wall-Crawler, Andrew Garfield's reptillian nemesis has surfaced.
For the first time, we have a complete picture of Rhys Ifans, as he will appear in next summer's radioactive reboot of the Spider-Man franchise when he plays Dr. Curt Connors, a scientist who found a way to regrow his lost arm. -- Albeit with the pesky side-effect of turning into a giant bipedal lizard who pretty much wants to kill everyone and everything. (It's his own doing, but I'm sure there's someone he could sue.)

Courtesy of SpiderMedia.ru, we see (as with the Pez dispenser,) a version of Spidey's iconic enemy without his signature ripped white labcoat. As for his famous torn pants, those too are missing, as this version of the Spider-Villain will apparently be going commando.
I must say, I am not all that impressed with the face. I do get the feeling that choosing a more "human" face was likely an artistic choice to possibly make the character somewhat relatable, since his story is tragic. However, the long face we've known in the comics version is an indelible part of his image.
We shall nevertheless have to see what director, Marc Webb does with this character.

I really despise the face. I really hope Webb and Sony do not use this as the final version of THE LIZARD - cause it sucks. He needs a cool Lizard Head with a long snout and sharp teeth. Here he looks like a reject from The Super Mario Movie. It's bad. The body is okay. But change that face... please!!!
