Next Summer's franchise reboot, The Amazing Spider-Man has been making efforts to keep the look of the film's villain under wraps for some time, now. However, the proverbial reptile may have been let out of its cage, thanks to a leaked photo of some swag.
Yogurt of Spaceballs might have said that merchandising is "where the real momney from the movie is made," but it appears it may have also unwittingly given us our first look at Rhys Ifans as Doctor Curt Connors as he is transformed into the A-list Spider-Man villain, The Lizard!
The swag? A pair of Pez Dispensers which were found by Jared Campbell, showing up on ComicBookMovie.
Is this the villain we're getting? Or is this some bizarre foreign knockoff?
Naturally, nothing has been confirmed by Sony, or anyone, as to the authenticity of the items. However, it is not without precedence to see secret movie villains revealed by way of toys and swag.
The face appears more human than the character's traditional comic book appearance. He also appears to be without his signature ripped white labcoat, and the jury is still out on the purple Hulk pants.
At some point, Doctor Connors will use an experimental genetic procedure (likely the same one that gave this Spider-Man his powers), to regrow his lost arm using regenerative reptillian DNA. The result will leave him looking like an extra that arrived late to the set V almost a year after its reboot was canceled.
What do you think of this look for The Lizard?
