Comic-Con 2011: Hulk From The Avengers Revealed

The last of The Avengers Comic-Con-exclusive concept art posters was revealed over the weekend with a look at the new version of The Hulk, as played by Mark Ruffalo.

Portraying the Hulk's human counterpart Bruce Banner, a role inherited from recent efforts from Edward Norton and Eric Bana, Ruffalo's version of Marvel's raging green behemoth has characteristics of his own face modeled into the digital creation. Yet, this concept art seems to portray a version of Hulk that's a bit more old-school. While you can sort of see Ruffalo in the eyes, he seems to sports a troglodyte forehead more similar to how he's seen in the comics.

I instantly thought 1980s Hulk cartoon at the first sight of this. Just saying.

This movie better not suck. Or else I'm reading DC from then on.

They should totally tie-in a Planet Hulk to the end credits of Avengers! The after Planet Hulk.... World War Hulk! That would be so amazing it might actually break the continuum!
