Attack Of The Staff: Andrew Zilch, Segment Producer

Posted July 15, 2011 - By Eugene Morton

Attack Of The Staff: Andrew Zilch, Segment ProducerHometown: Litchfield, Minnesota
Position: Segment Producer
Favorite Season: Deadwood, Season 3
Least Favorite Nickname: Well, let’s see. My last name is “Zilch”, so…how much time do you have?

What do you do on AOTS?
Most recently I’ve produced segments like DVDuesday, Rides, Whips & Hoons, and Green Tech.

What is your favorite moment from the show?
Every time Kevin weaves a Lemon Party reference into the show.

Do you have any passions outside of working at G4?
Is that allowed?

So, how's it hanging?/ What it is?

Yes, and what?

Did you go to school to do what you do?

I actually went to college to learn how to play trumpet professionally, which is another way of saying “absolutely not.”

Who is your favorite artist?

I’ll say René François Ghislain Magritte because that makes me sound like I know about art.

Where does it end?

Doggy Heaven.

What upcoming movie are you most looking forward to seeing and what video game are you most looking forward to playing?

Captain America and I…uh…[sheepishly] don’t exactly own a game system. Ahem.

What is your biggest regret in life?
Maybe admitting that I don’t play video games, which I believe is a fireable offense here at G4.

What's your favorite event that G4 covers?
Does Sara’s Underwood’s coverage of the Portland Naked Bike Ride count?

Also, if you've ever wanted to know more about Sara Underwood, Alison Haislip, Chris Hardwick, Blair Butler, Chris Gore, Kristin Adams or Blair Herter, check out their Attack of the Staff interviews too!
