Hometown: Detroit, MI
Position: Production Assistant
Favorite Season: Spring… anything but summer, really. Summer is evil to gingers. All that nasty sunlight everywhere, it’s disgusting.
Least Favorite Nickname: “Mer.” How is shortening my already short name attractive at all? Is it really that hard to pronounce two syllables? Be more creative, people!
What do you do on AOTS?
A zillion tons of paperwork that never ends, EVER. I’m shocked that my desk stays decently organized with all the various stacks of paper that pile up.
What is your favorite moment from the show?
I’m a sucker for awkward situations and hilarious train wrecks. I think I peed a little when Gilbert Gottfried was interviewed.
Do you have any passions outside of working at G4?
I model occasionally for fantastic photographers; otherwise I’m very passionate about dive bars and napping.
So, how's it hanging?/ What it is?
Pretty awesome. I just started playing L.A. Noire, I recently lost all of my money in Vegas on slot machines and strippers while there for my birthday, and convention season is starting soon!
Did you go to school to do what you do?
The School of AWESOME! Does that count? In actuality, I decided against going to college. I’m from a working class family and don’t want college loans up to my eyeballs, especially when I could never fully decide on what I wanted to be when I grew up. I’ve let things happen naturally by following my interests and what I was naturally skilled at, and seized any opportunities that have opened because of them. It’s worked out well so far.
Who is your favorite artist?
Tough question. There are so many amazing artists to choose from, in all fields of “art.” Can we narrow it down some?
Where does it end?
It will end as naturally as it began, or something.
What upcoming movie are you most looking forward to seeing and what video game are you most looking forward to playing?
If Paul Reubens ever gets around to the new Pee-Wee movie he’s been talking about for years, I will be ecstatic. Speaking of video games, why hasn’t he come up with one yet? I would play that game until my fingers bled with glory.
What is your biggest regret in life?
I don’t regret much. I try to live my life in a way that I enjoy everything to my fullest ability, given the situation. Every “bad” thing I’ve experienced should be viewed as a time for learning and growing, and something to eventually look back and laugh at. Everyone makes mistakes or goes through hell at some point in their life. There’s no point in dwelling on it when there’s a world of other possibilities to be had.
What's your favorite event that G4 covers?
Also, if you've ever wanted to know more about Sara Underwood, Alison Haislip, Chris Hardwick, Blair Butler, Chris Gore, Kristin Adams or Blair Herter, check out their Attack of the Staff interviews too!
