Wonder Woman Costume Gets Tweaked

Wonder Woman Costume Gets Tweaked

It appears that the upcoming Wonder Woman TV revival may have gotten a slight costume tweak.

A stretch of busy streets between Hollywood Boulevard Orange Drive were closed last night up until the morning while a chase scene was filmed with new Wonder Woman Adrianne Palicki. Since major streets were closed, there are a lot of pics surfacing from this now-prominent shoot. (Including some of a stunt double jumping onto the hood of a car.)

As it turns out, Wonder Woman looks somewhat different than the initial costumed pic that was released a few weeks back.

Take a look at one of the photos below and see what we mean.

As you can see, changes have clearly been implemented on this costume's previous version, which drew heavy criticism.

Wonder Woman Costume Gets Tweaked

1. The previously-blue boots are now a more comic-traditional red. While this wasn't much of an issue to me, there were many fans that preferred the more purist approach when it came to the color-coordination of her footwear. However, it is worth noting that the new boots are no longer on high-heels, which makes sense if you're going to have scenes where Wonder Woman chases down a runaway Marilyn Monroe drag impersonator. (???)

2. The horrid, shiny blue pants that covered her beautiful long, silky-smooth legs -- are still there. But, they're no longer flamboyantly shiny. In fact, they seem to actually be made of a fabric of some type. This is probably connected to the same need for practicality that saw the boots get swapped. In the very least, they look far more workable.

Whether the changes were made due to the onslaught of fan criticism or just as solutions to logistical issues, this is more likely the costume we'll see on TV this Fall.

What do you think of the changes?

Costume is better. Concept of bringing this character to live-action TV still sucks. Leave superhero treatments to the movies where they have a single tight story and high budget. On TV, they'll try to skimp on the special effects, stories will get drawn out, and it'll be boring. NBC failed with Bionic Woman, and I can't see this succeeding either.

This show will tank because in the immortal words of Clark Gable "Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn" about Wonder Woman.

You know a woman had to get her "two cents" in when it came for the redesign of this costume, and that titless actress they have playing her!

They really dumbed down the whole image of Wonder Woman, this show will tank miserably...

Can anyone say The Bionic Woman!
