Wonder Woman: First Look At Adrianne Palicki In Full Costume!

The first image of TV's new Wonder Woman, Adrianne Palicki in full costume has arrived via Entertainment Weekly. What's immediately clear, is that this version of the Amazonian ass-beating Goddess is not a fan of the traditional star-laden onesie bikini. As a result, the gorgeously long legs that serve as a silky-smooth highway to paradise on the 5'11" tall beauty are obscured with -- blue pants. (Sad frown.) However, everything above the waist from the iconic tiara, to the bullet-deflecting Aegis bracelets are all there and relatively unaltered. Even the Lasso of Truth faithfully rests on her belt, as it always did. Check out the full picture below and take in its sublime hotness. (Even though it's obscured by -- blue pants.)

Wonder Woman: First Look At Adrianne Palicki In Full Costume!

Much like her latest costume reinvention in the recent issues of DC Comics, this is definitely a move geared towards utilitarian function for her crime-fighting exploits. The classic bikini, while awe-inspiring, made it very hard to take Wonder Woman seriously in any context outside of a comic book panel. Yet, the blue color on these pants does seem to come off with a level of kitsch that at this point, she may have been better off with the bikini. This is how successful corporate executive Diana Prince intends to apprehend criminals in the street? I dunno...

Have any feedback on the look of the new Wonder Woman?

I prefer the red boots and the bigger tiara i mean how is she going to turn it into a boomerang and i hope she has a cooler transformation sequence like the original series

I don't mind the new costume except that i'd prefer the traditional superhero red boots that Lynda Carter once wore.

It looks like they are going for a corny 80's movie thing here.

The suit itself is just fine... It's the person wearing it that looks like chewed up dog food. The should have picked someone even remotely attractive

For sure not feelin' tha' pants. A skirt or chearleading outfit would be better at this point.. Buuut, i don't care what she wears, she's Wonder Woman! If she were 2 show up at my house wearing that, I wouldn't say, "I find your pants to be revolting". I'd be more interested in finding a way to get them ______. I'll let you guys fill in the blank.. *wink*wink*

Frankly it looks horrid. Its all latex, it makes me feel that I should be a domination club getting spanked by her. Mute the colors and create a uniform that feels like it can handle real world situations. Some type of pliable fabric like 1.5 mm neoprene should get the skin tight effect down while keeping her covered as she kicks bad guy ass.

    I have a few gripes:

    1. Just looking at this costume I can tell that the director has the wrong idea in mind. When You watch Dark Knight you can just look at the costume and know that the storyline will be dark. When I look at this costume it looks like they are going for a comedy or humor. The costume doesn't look to well thought out at all.

    2. I felt like material choice is all wrong. 50% of the time it's spandex or cloth. Not latex, she looks all rediculous.

    3. The obvious problem is that they are trying to make the movie more visually pleasing and less offensive. If she isn't wearing hotpants then the movie ewill offend less people. Looking at the Dark Knight (another very successful movie of DC's) it stayed true to the super heroes and villans.

    4. I would have preferred her new look (http://dcu.blog.dccomics.com/ files/2010/06/newwwcostume-98x 300.jpg). They could have kept wonder woman's hotpants version but then later on made her realize that the suit was impractible or perhaps out dated. They could have even home so far as to say that her mother's costume (the one who write the hotpants version, being the original wonder woman) is outdated and makes the new suit.

It kind of takes the wonder out of the woman and I don't remember Wonder Woman having an underbite.

She has to lose the pants they make her look ridiculous. Either do the one piece or use the new costume.

It seems as though her torso is extraordinarily long. I'm going to put that down to those blazing bright blue pants. Ehh. I consider myself something of a feminist, but I'm kind of opposed to the pants. Black might have been a good compromise. Or a much, much darker blue.

I think what people keep forgetting is that this pic is taken with bright lighting. Once they start filming on set with darker lighting, the costume will look totally different.

The fact it is all latex, the boots are the same color as the pants, makes it seem like it's all one piece. Which is kind of strange. She looks good, but the suit could do with a redux.
