AOTS recently sent our military expert and field correspondent Weston Scott to Detroit to get the scoop on the sequel to the original S.W.A.T., entitled S.W.A.T.: Fire Fight, and, guess what? He ended up being cast by director Benny Boom to be in the movie! That's right. Boom allowed Weston to be a member of the S.W.A.T. team for a raid on an urban grocery/liquor store.
After going through all of the gear and weapons on set with the military tech adviser for the film, Weston stormed the store with the S.W.A.T. team and threw a smoke grenade to start the siege. So, not only did he get the scoop on the film, but he got to see what it was like for the actors in the film, from wardrobe and equipment, to the long waiting to get the shot just right. Finally, it was action time, and the siege was on.
Check out some more pictures from the set after the jump, and don't forget to tune in on June 3rd to see Weston and co-host Alison Haislip in Tomorrow's Warrior, a look at the newest and most amazing military technology in the field. This G4 special goes behind the military's curtain to peek at the weapons and tactical military equipment of tomorrow, being fielded today.
