Astronaut Mike Massimino on Hubble 3D Today!

Usually when we talk about outer space on Attack of the Show, we're referring to some science fiction movie, television show or comic book. Or Robot News. Maybe even a weird WTF fetish? But today, when we talk about outer space, we'll be referring to the REAL THING.

Tonight's brand new episode will feature Kevin Pereira's interview with astronaut Mike Massimino about his role in the new IMAX film, Hubble 3D. Narrated by Leonardo DiCaprio, the documentary follows a crew of spacewalking astronauts (including Massimino) as they undergo the most difficult task in NASA history: repairing the massive Hubble Space Telescope. Tune in at 7p tonight to catch this interview!

The space program is the only worthwhile thing America ever did and now they are cutting the budget more than ever.

Don't people understand that as long as we are trapped on one tiny ball of mud everything we've ever done is meaningless the first time an asteroid comes by? For three billion years all life has been at the mercy of the cosmos and now for the first time we have a chance to change that and what do we do? Argue about money.

Think about this, Bill Gates, right now, has enough money, by himself, to build a Mars mission.

All I can hope now is that some forward thinking nation like Brazil will do what we are now too cowardly to accomplish, start a real space program.

Space is the most fascinating thing to me, it's still unexplored and we have virtually no clue what all it has to offer.
