Gadget Pr0n's Television Week!

Gadget Pr0n goes television crazy this week, where we review top of the line screens that could potentially inhabit your living room. Or maybe you can just drool over them online.

Tonight will feature the Sony Bravia W Series HDTV that's only 3.4" thin with a Bravia Engine 3 and more for only $1,500. Tune in at 7:00pm ET on G4 to see if we give this HDTV a buy or a don't buy for the last minute holiday season!

No matter what you get, you'll be pissed in less than a year. I got a 37'Samsung 1080P w/ only 60 hz for $860 last year (not a huge peuchase I know), and by summer, many different brands were the same price for at least 42' and 120 hz. Sony is nice but only if the price difference is a drop in the hat for that person. Samsung or Vizio is usually the best deal because they are using Sony technology, so the research for the technology is more than paid for by the time it is in a Samsung or Vizio. The only exception seemed to start this year. A Samsung LED is probably the most overpriced because Samsung has become so popular for quality without breaking the bank, so they figure they will let the consumer's actions reverse the trend of paying less. If the brand that is generally cheaper is now more, then you must get even more for your money (aside from LCD to LED).

Got this tv. At first I was just like the rest of the planet thinking that Sony just has over tv's. But after I plugged it in and watched some HD programming from my overpriced Comcast HD subscription I was amazed.
Having a Westinghouse 37" 1080p HD monitor with the Comcast HD box was awesome. PS3 games and Blu Rays were amazing on it.

When I brought home the 52" Bravia, I was literall in another world. Watching CSI:, New York, we actually felt like we were there!!

Sony does something that gives the HD picture a 3d "POP": without the 3d glasses!!
    Highly recommended.

when I get a new tv in the future, mine will be LCD-LED with a minimum of 1080p and 120 refresh. Also it will be 3d capable and be below $2000.

The W series is regular LCD.

I've seen the 52" at Fry's for $1100 recently, which is a pretty good deal regardless of brand.

I hate Sony Tv's, most of them are very over priced just because of the name, yet they aren't any better than a few other brands.
