Posted September 18, 2009 - By Eugene Morton

Chris JalandoniName: Chris Jalandoni
Hometown: Yorba Linda, CA (Orange County), the home of the Richard Nixon Library and the 2008 brush fires
Position: Segment Producer
Favorite Season: Football
Least Favorite Nickname: It’s a tie between “C.J.” and a nick name from High school, “Jalandoni the Wild Pony.”

AOTB: What do you do on AOTS

I produce “Game Break”, guest interviews, “Military Tech”, “Green Tech”, “AOTS Viewer Army”, the infamously titled “Rides, Whips, and Hoons” segment, and the occasional movie junket once in a while.

AOTB: What is your favorite moment from the show?

The entire 1,000th Episode special. Kevin catching a greased pig, Tom Green destroying the set, the epic skywriting fail, and the smell of Alan Thicke’s cologne. All amazing moments.

AOTB: Do you have any passions outside of working at G4?

When I’m not in the Comcast building, my hobbies include watching Football, going to the gym, comic books, video games, playing poker, road trips to Vegas, running up a bar tab, and splitting time between my fiancé and my level 80 Night Elf Hunter.

AOTB: So, how's it hanging?/ What it is?

To the left, and a little sweaty, but you’d be amazed at what a little Gold Bond medicated powder does.

AOTB: Did you go to school to do what you do?

Yes. I have a B.A. in Film and Electronic Media Studies from Cal State Long Beach. Go Beach!

AOTB: What did you do before coming to work at G4?

I was a freelance producer, and over the past couple years I’ve worked on shows for E!, Style, TV Guide Network, Comedy Central, and the defunct Mojo HD Network. Before then, I was a pharmaceutical sales rep and sold prescription strength hydrocortisone cream to gastroenterologists… a.k.a. “ass cream,” and worked my way through college as the “best damn salesman in The Rail” at the Nordstrom’s in Costa Mesa. I’ve had a lot of jobs over the years, but I’ve had the most fun working on AOTS.

AOTB: Where does it end?

Once you cut off an immortal’s head and take his “quickening”… because, “there can be only one”.

AOTB: What upcoming movie are you most looking forward to seeing?

Iron Man 2, and the rest of the Avenger films (Captain America, Thor, etc …)

AOTB: What is your biggest regret in life?

Not taking care of my comics when I first started collecting them.  As a ten year old, you don’t realize the importance of bags and backboards, not that I’d be a millionaire right now, but I have a lot of great issues that look like crap.

AOTB: What's your favorite event that G4 covers?

Comic-Con. Hands down.
