Attack of the Staff: David Rabideau, Associate ProducerHometown: Massena, NY
Position: Queen of England, Associate Producer
Favorite Season: Fall (in NY, CA is always the same)
Least Favorite Nickname: You don’t want to know.

AOTB: What do you do on AOTS?

I recently got promoted to Associate Producer, but, at the time of this interview, I’m transitioning from being a Production Assistant. So, the P and the A are meeting in the middle and moving towards A and P -- I digress. Primarily I’m charged with producing our best segments like Attack This and Blogwatch and running Kevin through VO’s (voice overs) every afternoon so that everyone has his siren-esque voice in their packages.

AOTB: What is your favorite moment from the show?

It’s an obscure moment, but I really enjoyed drunken Iron Man on the AOTS 1000th episode. Every time in the past Iron Man’s vomit would dribble out or spray sporadically. However, in this particular incident, it came out like a geyser and worked flawlessly. Kevin and Olivia had to duck and cover behind home base, it was hilarious.

AOTB: Do you have any passions outside of working at G4?

I wish I could say I had a hardcore hobby, but alas I do not. I dabble in a lot of things, so I guess I’m a jack of all trades in the "outside of work" department. I really enjoy nerding out and playing an invigorating session of D&D when I can find the time. For the most part I just relax, have a beverage or two, and see where my free time takes me.

AOTB: So, how's it hanging?/ What it is?

Insert inappropriate joke here :D

AOTB: Did you go to school to work in TV?

I did. I attended SUNY Fredonia (in case you don’t know, that’s in NY), which is south of Buffalo. I intentionally headed out here to L.A. in the hopes of working in movies, but I fell into this TV gig and I have loved every minute of it.

AOTB: Who is your favorite filmmaker?

I would have to say Tim Burton. I know that seems like a cheesy answer, because who doesn’t, but I really enjoy his films.  I’m also a fan of Baz Lurhman. I’ll admit, I’m a sucker for Moulin Rouge!

AOTB: If you had to kill a baby yack to survive in the wild, would you?

In a heart beat, especially because the babies are the easiest to take down. However, I would make sure to go back after I was rescued and release a new baby yak back into the ecosystem. It’s all about balance.

AOTB: What upcoming movie are you most looking forward to seeing?

District 9! Corrado saw an early screening and has been running around the office practically in tears because it’s so awesome. I can’t wait to watch it.

AOTB: What is your biggest regret from elementary school?

Giving up the viola.  You may laugh but I could play a mean viola back in the day. My best friend and I were the top players in the school district, but when we were twelve we decided that it was way too lame to play a viola. No lie, our teacher was almost crying when we quit. Now, I wish I would’ve stuck with it, because it would’ve been really awesome to jam out on a viola. Stick with your dreams, kids!

AOTB: What's your favorite event that G4 covers?

Comic-Con was a blast. It was my first time going down there with AOTS, but it was fun. Overly crowded? Maybe, but in the 30-40 minutes I had for free time on the showroom floor I saw some pretty cool stuff. Plus, we had an awesome panel and it’s great to see all the fans that come out and support us. Or maybe they're just there for Olivia.
