Researchers have found the oldest reserve of marijuana in an isolated area of China.

It was found in a tomb, dating back 2,700 years. In the Journal of Experimental Botany, researchers say it was definitely "cultivated for psychoactive purposes," as opposed to fiber for clothes or food.

789 grams of cannabis was found. The cannabis was buried along with a "light-haired, blue-eyed Caucasian man, likely a shaman of the Gushi culture, in Turpan in northwestern China."
