Media giant, Time Warner has decided to merge its comedy video site, Super Deluxe with the Cartoon Network site, Adult Swim, a move which has resulted in the termination of an untold number of the Super Deluxe staff.
Time Warner hasn’t gotten where it is by making bad decisions and its actions seem to indicate that, popular as the Super Deluxe was, it wasn’t turning a profit (or enough of one to justify its existence).
Does this spell doom for sites with similar content and the same agenda? Is the golden age of web videos over?
