Attack of the Blog Is The PS3 Back On Track?
Posted By: Eugene Morton - Monday, November 26, 2007 11:02 AM

When the Playstation 3 was first unveiled, people thought that, based on the performance of its predecessors, it would be an unstoppable juggernaut. It wasn’t. We all know the sad, sad tale of the PS3.

Now, thanks to a couple of price cuts and an effective advertising campaign (which hit just before the biggest shopping day of the year, Black Friday), Sony’s box may yet become King of the Consoles this generation. Is this comeback long term or will the PS3 ultimately fail?

To answer that question, we’ll have Shane Bettenhausen, Editor for EGM Magazine and Greg Miller, Editor for the Playstation Channel at IGN.

The thing is the PS3 for its first year is not far off the xbox360. The Wii well in 2008 with more HDTV coming out i think will slow down, if the wee (wii) did 720P it would rock.

but for the ps3, this year with more titles and more studios actually not porting to the ps3 we will see more and more differences.

And I think HOME will be a sleeper hit.

with divx support, and PSP remote they are opening up more channels. Sure they don't have all the exclusives as before, but atleast we know this unit will be around as the xbox360 will be getting a new rev for all the lemmings to upgrade to, since honestly, xbox360 wasn't ground breaking just released before other true next-gen consoles game out.

plus if the xbox360 and wii are hacked, ps3 isn't. xbox360 hacked machines get banned means more xbox360 units sold but not to new customers but to the hackers. nice way to keep console units sales up!
