Modern age movie goers are a sophisticated bunch, meaning that when they go to the movies, especially horror movies, it’s hard for them to be fooled by special effects and camera tricks.
They know it all and knowing it all has made them next to impossible to scare, which usually means that they leave horror films feeling like the only frightening thing was the high price of admission.
However, there are still a few directors out there capable of tapping into the collective fears of society and presenting them on a screen in a way that has impact and is downright terrifying. We’ll welcome one such maestro on today’s show, the director of Hostel and Hostel II, Eli Roth.
