Step right up, ladies and gentlemen and SEE the AMAZING Jim Rose!

Rose is the creator of the Jim Rose Circus, the post-modern freak show/performance art troupe that's been blowing minds since the early 90s. The Circus made it's first big splash as the most must-see act at the legendary first Lollapalooza tour back in '92. Since then Rose has been honing and perfecting the art of the carny, presenting a variety of geeks, freaks and fleaks and basically blurring the line between "man, monster and dumb ass."

His new book, Snake Oil, is an "eclectic encyclopedia of all things hustler, ie: how to do mind control, hypnotism, how pimps turn girls into prostitutes, brainwashing (what happens when those cult doors close?), hundreds of bar bets (some people never have to pay for their beers because of these tricks), how to do almost every circus stunt imaginable, along with many other cons and scams."

"It will allow you to be dropped off in any city in the world, unable to speak the language and instantly be able to make money," Rose said.

And you mean to tell me you won't go out and buy it?

Along with rediscovering and re-contextualizing a lost art form, writing several books, starring in an episode of The Simpsons (the one where Homer gets cannonballs shot at him) and generally becoming a cultural icon, Rose has also starred in a videogame. You can "play" Jim too. He stars as Psymon in SSX Tricky and SledStorm 2 from EA.
