Aaron Ruby, meanwhile, is a former molecular biologist who put science behind him to pursue his love of videogames into the field of journalism, writing about the industry and reviewing videogames for Entertainment Weekly.

ThePest: Smartbomb is basically about videogames, who makes 'em, and who plays 'em. The idea was to give an idea of what developers, designers and various gaming subcultures are like. Clans like SK and 3D are in the book, as is a story about the Summer CPL Championships in Dallas, for example.
Each chapter is like a nonfiction short story about some person or people in the gaming industry/culture. Will Wright, cliffyb, SWG guilds, AnarchyOnline, etc. The idea is that you can read a chapter anywhere in the book without having to read any of the others.
btw being on aots has given me new respect for kevin. that guy is one quick mf-er.

YEAH!!! ClffyB is "The Man"!!!!.....He's always had the gamers at heart...Just look at how many bonus paks, to his "Unreal Tournament" games, he released to the gamers for "FREE"!!.....His unreal 3 game engine is being use by many of the makers of the games for the "next-gen" consoles....Without a doubt..He will definitely have a place reserved for him in the "Gamemakers Hall of Fame" as one of the leading forces in FPS gaming!!!
