Director Tamara Katepoo and producer Peter Kang came by to discuss Bang the Machine, their documentary about Street Fighter tournament players from around the world. According to the film's FAQ, "It follows the battles of an elite group of Street Fighter videogame players as they train and compete to eventually take on the Japanese national team in Tokyo. What may be the sleeper subculture of our generation, videogaming is in actuality a larger business than all of Hollywood combined. Within this world exists the incredibly telling tales of a few young men who come together under the one motto of kill or be killed."
It'll be coming to DVD soon, and you can learn more about the film right now at www.bangthemachine.com.

Rampaging Haru
Man. Hardcore SF players..haven't seen them in a while. Like some mythical beast, they are.
Always nice to see filmakers showing that gamers aren't just obsessed dorks lurking in their bedroom all alone. They team up, on occassion.
