It's surprisingly simple to play your favorite classic LucasArts titles on your PSP. We snagged a couple steps from the great hardware hacking forums, DCEmu, and combined them with a little of our own knowledge to give you this little tutorial.
How to Install ScummVM for the PSP:
- Download the emulator for PSP http://psp-news.dcemu.co.uk/files/scummvm-psp-beta4.zip
- Unzip this file and locate EBOOT.PBP, you will need to know this for later.
- If your PSP has firmware 1.5 you need the following application to copy the emulator to your memory card. http://psp-news.dcemu.co.uk/files/kxploit_1.5_psp-dev.rar (Firmwares newer than 1.5 will cease homebrew software to work as of right now.)
- Unzip the program from step 3 and run the KXploitTool-0.3-Setup.exe file.
- Reboot your computer to finish the install.
- Attach your PSP to your PC via USB and then put your PSP into USB Mode in the menu.
- Find out what drive letter the PSP has been given by Windows.
- Run the KXploit Tool.
- The program is in Spanish so where it says "Nombre:" type down whatever you want the emulator/homebrew to be called, this does not effect the game.
- Where it says "Fichero PBP:", click the "..." button, and locate the EBOOT.PBP file you extracted from step 2.
- Where it says "Unidad PSP:", make sure your PSP is connected, and select the drive letter of your PSP from step 7.
- After all that is inputted, click the "Generar ficheros" button. wait for it to finish. You will get a message box in Spanish that looks like an error, but it’s ok.
- Copy your Scumm games to anywhere on your PSP.
- End USB mode on your PSP and go to the Memory Card in the Menu. You can go down to ScummVM now.
- Run ScummVM then browse to where you copied the games to.
- Voila!

You can do anything with 1.50 nobody makes anything for any other FW. It's when you get 1.51 when you're boned as to the homebrew apps. There is a way to go from 1.5x back to 1.50 it can be found here; (http://www.pspupdates.com/200 5/08/downgrade-15x-to-150.html ) On Sept. 1.
Still anyone got any roms yet? I found some on scummbar.com, but they're only demos :(

how exactly would a DS emulator of point and click adventure games work? alot of the time, you have to click a certain pixel that is very minute and hard to click, even with a PC mouse. how can this work in the DS version? i'd assume it would be real hard. and with the emulations, would you click with the pointing of the stylus? how would you move? couldnt it be so you have to hold a button and move the stylus? like in the PC games, moving the mouse moves the pointer, but moving the stylus doesnt.

OK. Made some progress.. To use the .rar files, you will need a tool extract them. Go to rarlab.com. Sorry to those who already know this.

hen, you need to put the Amiga Kickstart 1.3 KICK.ROM file into /PSP/GAME/PSPUAE
(Make sure the filename is KICK.ROM)

Okay so I must be a moron, which I am not denying. I can load the emulator but where in the hell do I get any of the games to play on the PSP. I did the SCUMM one and the SNES one and a DOOM one but everytime it just comes up and says there is no game. I'm an idiot and I would appreciate someone helping me out.

No, it can't go backwards. Here, since I'm kind of a PSP Emu guru..
1) 1.5 and above can NOT PLAY EMUS OR HOMEBREW
2) Currently there is no way to downgrade.
3) Pspupdates.com is the best site for all your homebrew needs.
AotS should've shown off some of the cool Homebrew games. There's Squarez, which is excellent, and someone recently made a Super Smash Bros for PSP. The SNES emu is pretty awesome too.

Bargin bins if you are lucky, maybe ebay. I happen to have Full Throttle and DOTT (think i got both free with Grim Fandango or something like that). I tried this a while ago, couldnt get it to work. At least this step by step confirms that I didnt do anything wrong so best I can do is try again.

For some reason, I can't get the stupid zip file! Every time I click the link on here, it just takes me to DCEmu's homepage. I even tried downloading it from their site, but when Firefox's download window pops up, I can't choose to Save. Help me!!!! :(
