Most parents can't tell you how to install a videogame, let alone decrypt the contents, or the fact that perhaps it has hidden and crackable mod content inside. Someone else has to look out for this stuff, enforce it, and let the parents in on the content of this stuff. That's what ESRB is for.

I can't believe it took so long for the parents to catch on to this game San Andreas.

Why did it take so long for the parents to catch on to this?

Obviously they weren't looking at the product they purchased for their child. If they would have been so precaucious in the first place than we wouldn't have this problem!
